MidSouth SV Riders Spring '09 Rally Official Thread

OK boys and girls.. it's that time again.

I have some great news, and I have some bad news about the rally.

Bad News: The Hub has been snatched from us for the first weekend in May. The Abate group rented the entire place, and although Randall and I discussed holding some rooms for us when I was there in the fall... it did not happen.

Good News: We will have plenty of room the next weekend THE SECOND WEEKEND OF MAY (8-10th) Although we will be sharing with the Muffin Riders (don't ask me) we will have a block of rooms reserved for us. That being said... if you know you are coming, don't hesitate, call TODAY and book your room.

This is the adjustment for this spring. I know it may not work for some and may work for others. But the rally has gotten to big to find a date that will work for everyone. In the fall we will be looking for another place in the Ozarks to stay. BUT for now, let's get excited about some kick ass riding!

The other good news is that we have some great stuff lined up again this year. It's really going to be a blast. So put the second weekend in may on your calendar and then call The Hub and make your reservation.

Details:
Spring '09 Rally
Ozark Mountains around Jasper Arkansas
May 8-10
The Hub http://hubinfo.com/

OK! More Details!

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Send your registration to: shanebevel (at) gmail.com via paypal. You may also send a check (PM me for an address, I don't want TLC showing up at my door at all hours)

Registration fee is $20 for the weekend. That covers awards, some community adult beverages for the campfire, paypal and a T-shirt. This is still a community thing... no one is getting rich here. But one fee makes it much easier for me to handle.

Also some activities have been planned:

Moto-Safety Quick Course: SaloSV (our in-house MSF Cert Instructor) has agreed to do a short seminar on an advanced topic on Saturday morning. This may be cornering or risk management or something else. Any requests?

Saturday Sexy Cycle Photo Day: Since I will be writing this whole thing off a business trip... I need to do some biz! On Saturday I will pick a place, let everyone know and sit my butt down and make beautiful photos of any riders who happen by. They will all be posted up by early the next week. This will be similar to Killboy at the national rally. It should be fun! For those unaware of my mad skilz.... www.shanebevel.com

Thanks,
Shane

Of course now you have to ride that sweet new cafe racer the whole way down... that's gonna hurt.

This is awesome news for me, as final exams end on the 8th. As always, thanks for setting this up, Shane.

I'm not so sure now since Galen can make it. I'll have to make sure to keep him away from my daughter.

Reservations made officially for the 3 of us. I reserved Thursday night for the room. I'm hoping I can make it down that evening after work so I can ride a full 3 days, instead of 1 1/2 or 2.

We'll see if its street legal by then. It could be done by then but it may not have tags yet, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I also don't know how reliable it will be.

The date change means I can't make it. This falls on the same weekend as the Music as a Weapon Tour.
