(Sorry, know this should go in other forum section, but hoping this gets more attention here and an answer).
I'm trying to do the TPS mod on an '07 naked with ABS and I can't for the life of me find the same connector that is noted here: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=55459 I found a connector that looks similar, but the wire colors are different, there's only 4 connection points, not 6, and only 2 wires in it (but the connector shape and rubber cap and general location match) ![]() Anyone know? ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: TPS mod on ABS model, different Dealer connector?!?
welp, my ADD kicked in so I went searching every inch of the bike for this ****ed connector: FOR WHATEVER REASON, THE CONNECTOR IS IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION ON MY BIKE...MAYBE ABS?? (SHRUG)
(My TPS was at about 3k..now 1400, haven't done a test ride yet) Pics below for reference for other folk in the future : ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: TPS mod on ABS model, different Dealer connector?!?
Cool.
I was just about to write how I thought the plug was the same as my 2007 non-ABS model (the Suzuki Service Manual shows the same tool used to plug into it). |

Re: TPS mod on ABS model, different Dealer connector?!?
WOW! TPS mod makes a very nice difference for low speed! (I really notice it on the 90 degree right turns in town, or when making a left hander from a stop light I don't have to ride the clutch or shift straight to 2nd to keep from riding the bronco!) Buttery smooth, recommend this adjustment and fork springs and oil as top 2 must do mods! ![]()

Re: TPS mod on ABS model, different Dealer connector?!?
I just did mine today. It was at 3100 and i took it down to 1400. It definitely makes a difference.
What is the other sensor you circled with the line through it. I saw that when i did mine and hadnt read anything about it so i didnt touch it, i guess its supposed to be left alone. ![]() |

Re: TPS mod on ABS model, different Dealer connector?!?
I'm guessing the 2002 is carburated, and in which case, no this adjustment is not available on a carburated engine, only fuel injected. (There may be other adjustments that serve a similar purpose, but these directions would not apply)
