Mt Weather VA, Blueridge Mtm Rd, Rt 601
Has anyone done the Mt Weather Rd between RT 7 and 50 west of Leesburg?
Is it better north to south or south to north? |

Re: Mt Weather VA, Blueridge Mtm Rd, Rt 601
We are supposed to hit the low 70s this sunday. Newbie looking for any other experienced riders in the area that might be interested in doing the 50-601-7 loop?

Re: Mt Weather VA, Blueridge Mtm Rd, Rt 601
I go through Snickersville almost every time I go up to Summit Point. I've always passed 601 but never looked into it. I'll have to try this out one day. Thanks for the heads up

Re: Mt Weather VA, Blueridge Mtm Rd, Rt 601
I've done it a lot, but only on a non motorized 2 wheel vehicle. It's a good route though. Some other nice roads are to take your first right after you get on 50 off 601 and head towards Sky Meadows. Leeds Manor Road is nice one from there, take it all the way to Hume Road and then hit Fiery Run Road back north. Might be a short stretch of gravel on that road but some really nice valleys.
