I'm guessing 12-15hp. Mine is a bone stock first gen (no cam swap) with a full M4, BMC filter and jetting to match. Actually, since it's an endurance bike the jetting is a touch lean. Haven't dynoed it but I'm betting 67-70hp. It's also a little heavy. But it handles well and (most importantly!!) it was ridden by one of the best young riders in the country. Dustin made the difference.
The other bike is an SV with a breathed on motor. I don't have any details on the build but it looks like low-mid 80s to me, judging from the way it blasted by my bike.

lol. I watched this video the day it was posted and didn't even note the sound the bike made.. I just noted that it friggin blew past the bike I knew was a SV in the straights. Sorry I missed the obvious.

I'm with you. At the start line, it did sound like a twin, but the way it was blowing by at the end of the straight and out of the corners really threw me for a loop, and I started thinking I mistook the sound at the start.

Re: SV racing video

i don't think chris has had any motor work done to sv guys... fwiw...

iirc that day chris was having trail braking issues... after watching the video again just now - i tend to agree there's some kind of issues with the rear of the bike... seems to push out of the corner on a lot of exits...

still a great race... and dustin was cleanin up that day - no doubt...

what's up tony! - let's hookup next season and set you up a camera mount like the one i did for chris...

That's laughable. A non-worked SV doesn't trample on a stock-motored SV like that in the straights, especially not one that got a much better drive out of the corners.

eh - fair point... chris has two sv's... this is probably the built one...

but nonetheless - a great vid tho and some great riding by both...

Re: SV racing video

Great video! There's nothing like a mismatched but close race.
