my sv1000 drag bike to road bike build
well it is a bit late for me to start a build log, but late is better than never.
i really enjoy running at the drag strip, but i am buying a b-king, so i am going to bring my sv back to a road bike, and i will send my motor to spears probably in the beginning of next year. but next up is my gsxr swap, and then removing the extensions. so far i have a gsxr1000 shock that has been resprung on the bike and i have a gsxr600 front end i will send off to have resprung, and valved for me. as of right now i have all the normal goodies speedo healer pcIII gear indicator 1 down front sprocket, and 2 up rear k&n air filter and i switch back and forth from the chin fairing, and full lower. m4 full exhaust 2 into 1 with the can chopped down a little. a couple of pics please excuse the pics but it just rained. ![]() ![]() |

Re: my sv1000 drag bike to road bike build
made some progress this weekend
monday the rest of my parts will be here, and then i will pull my extensions off i am leaving my one down front sprocket, but taking off the 42 tooth rear, and going back to 40 teeth. and down the road i will pick up another set of 600/750 forks and have them rebuilt for my weight, and swap them out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
