Roadkill33 02-10-2009, 08:10 PM Hey Safire Eyes, Im not from Maine, but I too am sick of the cold weather. Us Maryland'ers feel your pain. No one had replied to your post, so I thought I would throw you a bone. Here is hoping for the weather to break soon, Take care, Chris:hug: By the way, sweet First Gen. Me likey. :headbang: 7Zark7 02-17-2009, 02:48 PM Hey, I thought you were moving. Weren't you supposed to be in TN by now? :) SafireEyz 02-18-2009, 07:11 AM HAHA Yeah that was the plan anyway... hopefully this summer! I would have ALOT more miles on the bike if I was there... but instead we are getting 6-10 more inches of snow today... yippee! ...............grrrrrr............... But yeah hopefully we can sell our house come spring and head to dragon country! 7Zark7 02-18-2009, 08:38 AM Ouch. I thought I had it bad here in Jersey. At least it's not snowing... yet. capeless 02-24-2009, 08:06 AM I'm a Mainer ready for for some riding weather! I have ridden twice this year so far. But most of the time I just open the garage door, start up the bike, and sit on it dreaming it was a warm sunny day :) What part of Maine are you from? SafireEyz 02-24-2009, 12:05 PM Dedham. Just east of Bangor. Yeah I can't even do that because of the additional 20" of snow we got yesterday! capeless 03-05-2009, 03:28 PM I used to live in Exeter, just west of Bangor :) I just bought a Jeep from a guy in Ellsworth. So it looks like 45* and sunny Saturday! My bike is prepped and ready to go! :) eddiemon 03-05-2009, 03:44 PM Tired of all the cold snowy $hit yet?:angry2: I'm ready to ride already!! Hi SafireEyz, I'm not a Mainer but CA weather can't be beat. And your SV calendar pics are great! ;) SafireEyz 03-10-2009, 07:05 AM Thanks eddie, wasn't prepared with great pics this year but next I'll be ready!;) I was in NH this past weekend where it was 60 and motorcycles were everywhere... pulling mine out this weekend for some tinkering! yippeeee;D jpSVmtka 03-10-2009, 09:53 PM Well it is currently 9f here In Minneapolis and it snowed today. The heavy wet kind. I want to ride......... GRADYSJEEP 03-22-2009, 09:10 AM Mainer here!! Things are looking up, maybe winter is finally behind us. Might get the bike out for a spin this week. SafireEyz 03-23-2009, 06:38 AM Doyou Mainers (or winter state people) keep insurance all year long on your bikes? I take it down to comp only in the winter, so I wait to put it back on in the spring so I am not paying for the weeks I can't ride, due to sudden unexpected snow storms and drops in temps to the single digits! Should be 50 by the end of the week though! :D capeless 03-23-2009, 07:04 AM I drop my insurance completely when I put it away for the Winter. I have been out a couple times already. With temps over 40* and the sun shining, I'm riding. The highway is a little brisk at 80mph and the frost heaves and sandy side roads are a little scary but cruising the main roads is perfect right now. My bike is filthy and the garden hose is still frozen so hopefully I can clean it soon. :) 10* more degrees and the tops coming off the Jeep! lol SafireEyz 03-23-2009, 10:52 AM Hell yeah! I can't wait for the Jeep season too... Bikini tops rock! ;) yashuone 03-30-2009, 10:09 AM rode to work last week for the first time this year. even the 60 miles on the slab was welcome after this long, cold, drawn out, winter. hopefully i'll get more fun rides than commuting this year. capeless 03-31-2009, 01:55 PM I wish I would have rode to work today! I definately will tomorrow. I need to wash my bike tonight though, it is filthy. The Jeep got a nice workout this weekend with a half day trip through the snowmobile trails, through a pond, and across a river, lol! The top is still on though. :'( SVeetwin 04-09-2009, 11:30 PM Another Mainer here, I have had the bike out several times already, but its still really sandy and temps arent high enough to do any real sport riding. SafireEyz 04-10-2009, 06:49 AM What part of Maine are you in SVeeTwin? Hubby took the Buell in today at 29° still too cold for this chicka! Maybe this afternoon tho :D GeorgeZboy 04-10-2009, 07:03 AM I've been back to commuting on the bike for 3 weeks now, except for the real rainy days. (Rain gear over winter gear is just TOO much hassle.) I waited until the first day of spring, just because my driveway was a soggy mess. It was a toasty 60 degrees on the way home last night. :) yashuone 04-10-2009, 08:17 AM hey george good to see that you're out and about. unfortunately for me work has required that i bring my truck to topsham daily so the bike has sat idle the last couple of weeks. GeorgeZboy 04-10-2009, 12:23 PM Yeah, I moved down to Scarborough, so I can't check up on you every day anymore. Hopefully we can find a day this summer and take a ride up to the mountains again. :) SafireEyz 04-10-2009, 02:16 PM We should plan a Maine SV(and others) ride this year? SVeetwin 04-10-2009, 10:27 PM I am from Bangor... SafireEyz 04-13-2009, 06:37 AM Nice we will have to go for a ride sometime. Friend and Friend is having their annual meet at Jordans the first week in May maybe we will see you there! Griffin 04-13-2009, 07:33 AM Can summa-folk join in?
