Hey
Looking to buy a gen2 sv650 this upcoming year. Here are some items that I may/may not prefer:
--Gen2 only (03+)
--Color is not an issue
--Doesnt matter if its a naked, S, or faired
--No frame/fork damage, small damages dropped from a standstill are fine
--Would really prefer to have it within 100 miles of Chicago (Will have to wait until atleast March/April, if slightly farther than that)
--Nothing bigger than a 650, I've seen a few nice 1000s, and insurance just kills it
--Minor mods not an issue
--Mileage does play a factor, but it isnt everything. I would rather buy a clean 15k bike than a beat up 5k bike.
I'm not super picky about the bike. I've seen several real good examples in Milwaukee, parts of Indiana, etc, its just a matter of finding what suits me best. Planning on keeping the bike atleast 3 seasons/years.
Price is not a HUGE issue, but it obviously has to be fair market value. Not looking for anything for ~$5k, in used. If I'm spending close to $5k, I might as well go new.
Also, has anyone had any good experiences with any Chicagoland dealers, as far as buying new?
