well the other nite i got to ride my friends zx-6 and its pretty awsome his bike is set up great, but he has a way better suspension than my svs. I have a old wrecked tl100s in storage and I was wondering if the tl forks will fit my sv. I know the forks on the tl have preload and damping. Id really like some feedback cause me and my buddy plan on doing some trackdays in the summer. oh and does any one have a suggestion for a rear shock. Im 6'3 and weight about 200 with no gear. thanks i appreciate it. oh and i wanna say thanks for all the help ive gotten so much info from this site. I love knowing there are riders that love their v-twin sportbike as much as me. you guys are awsome. oh and happy new year holla.

yes they fit, like the gsxr forks, don't mix and match parts with the gsxr, tl forks are slightly differanty and not quite as good as the gsxr units

I thought the TL forks and the SRAD gen. forks were identical. I know there wheels, and axles, and fenders, and handlebars, and triple clamps are, so most likely the forks are the same, but im not positive.

what about the second gens? well do you think I should get the tl fixed? im still paying on it. everythings ok except......dum dum....it has a broken frame and when i say broken i mean brokrn at the front welds. but how would I go along doing that because if i get a new frame then its still registered in the old broken vin number. i know itll take a lot of time to transfer over. but i really like the tl and want to get it running so i can ride it again. i know illl need a frame, plastics repaired, clutch lever rear sets and exhaust. i checked the forks and everyhtings straight and good. i dont know i want to get it fixed by the summer. so maybe i can sell it. im confused

TL1000R and Busa fronts are the same except the brake mount I believe. I have seen that setup on a sv and yes it is pretty much the same as a gsxr install. since your over the 200 mark suited grab a busa shock to install with your TL front.

sounds sweet. i was thinking of turning the tl into a street fighter. i like the way they look and the plastics are all busted up anyway. but i want the sv to have a better suspension, im kinda scared to take the tl to the track its a big bike. what are some other suspension options i have for the sv

my advice, put the frontend on your SV and part the rest of the bike out on ebay about feb. when people start getting the income tax back. apply the money to what owe.
