is the swing arm the same for both 1st and 2nd gen?

Does anyone know if by any small chance the swing arm from a 2003 (2nd gen) will fit to a 2001(1st gen) ?
both type S.

They're different, but I have no idea if they'd be interchangable. I've never heard of anyone making that swap, though, so I'd tend to think it wouldn't work too well.

if it doesn`t work i would have a 1. gen swingarm for sale ;)
i wouldn`t do it anyway the one from the 1. gen is nicer like the rest of the 1. gen but let`s don`t go there right now :)
