After a few libations this evening, I got to thinkin. We have our usual visitors from the north, but only a very few trans-atlantic sv'ers. And I've been thinking the reason is, that they have little reason to come here since they have lovely stomping grounds of their own.

I propose that we invade them!

We should go over there and teach those snooty liter O' petrol buying kilometer per hour riding (no offense Cana-adia, I know your half European) cupcakes how to ride the twisties......

I've made the bold statement, now someone get on the logistics. We're gonna take a trip to spain or italy and rent bikes.......someone come up with the rest.

I'm not sure what Johns problem is, perhaps its jealousy because the germans like david hasselhoff more then he does.

Just read an article in BIKE on an awesome road in Germany...one of so many awesome roads in Europe.
I'm off for a lottery ticket..

I can personally vouch for the roads in europe, they're fantastic!
Read the same article in BIKE. That road would be worth a look alright.
I'd be willing to travel anywhere within Europe for an SV rally.

I thought they escorted him out of the country with an armed contingent to never return.

Must have something to do with his family history ... ;D

How about a pre-Dooms Day SV Rally (2011 or 2012). We should see if any sponsers want to help fund the trip and get us deals on rentals. We can set up a route like the tour de france but in a few cool countries (maybe not France because they don't all love the U.S.) . Will we be renting SV's or will we break the rules and go with Ducati? ;D

I promised my bike to one of the Euros (I think Northwind) a rally or two back when he was trying to make it over, nothing ever came of it after a bunch of PMs though. I thought it would be funny if my bike made it to a rally before I did.

I like the way you think, let me know when we're leaving.

Seems i can take a ferry from Bergen to Newcastle. One potential problem, driving on the left side of the road. I reckon it's the same on Isle of Man.. Are we prepared to crash 10-20% of the bikes and drive like "nancy's"? :p
