cfreger 06-06-2009, 11:28 PM I saw a ton of photographers out today, but didn't keep track of who was there. (I was trying to look through the turns, instead.)
So, what websites have the professional Deal's Gap photos? I know of Killboy, but what are the others?
Also, I know there's some secret combination of keys to press on the computer to copy the photos from the websites, but what is it?

Not sure about the secret "handshake" to get the pics though....:D
93civEJ1 06-07-2009, 07:29 AM www.zeefoto.com, us129photos.com, www.moonshinephoto.com, killboy.com,are the main ones. It usually takes them a few days to post up though.
raab02 06-07-2009, 08:28 PM D*mmit they need to hurry up!

It felt like the longest week ever when I went (couple years ago) before they got pics up.
g34343greg 06-07-2009, 08:49 PM you can steal the low res pics, but support the people and buy some stuff off of them.
i bought pics off of killboy and US129. i like killboy's a little better, but US129 gave me a whole bunch of other pics of me that i didn't order for free, so that was cool too.
i wanted to buy a couple from everyone, but since they all charge shipping, i just ordered from those two.
photos stay up for years, so if you don't have the money now just favorite them in your browser and buy some later

Must be a new one...I noticed about 7 photographers on Saturday morning. To bad the traffic and accidents were already causing issues ....or it could have been a good day out there. Heck...thankfully, there are plenty of other roads in the area!
93civEJ1 06-08-2009, 09:15 AM Yeah, the only one I really saw for the couple of runs I made, were were a woman and a cruiser collided right above the CROT store.
Not sure of what happened right off though.

cfreger 06-08-2009, 09:29 AM Saturday am sucked.
Early am, a Porsche ran off the road, cracked the rad and spilled antifreeze in a corner.
As I did the run up, I saw a dude sitting on the side of the road, surrounded by his buddies, collecting himself as they pulled his bike out of the woods. HTH do you go off on the very first turn?
About halfway up, a car/ bike collision. Not good. It did not look to be head-on; more of a sideswipe. Still, the guy on the bike got an ambulance ride.
At the overlook, just as I was thinking of heading down, a parade of Harleys went by. I don't mean figuratively. I mean a parade of Harleys. Flying flags off the back of their bikes, and waving to everyone. I think it was to commemorate the D-Day invasion and honor our veterans. Nice sentiment, but did they really have to tie up The Dragon on a Saturday morning for that?
Waited for the road to clear, then headed down. Getting back to the CROT, the parking lot was so chock full of bikes, I saw a guy riding through nearly get kicked in the head by another guy getting off his bike.
That was enough to convince me to ride the Cherohala for the rest of the day.
weasel 06-08-2009, 09:35 AM i here ya, we did the Cherry Cola a couple times on sat also..after my suspension tune at Wheelers...WOWOWOW
but, b4 the MCcoy gang tore up 2 bikes!!
and 1 of them was a NEW R1 DEMO ridden by the Yamaha REP!!! DOH!!

Nucular has a few from there....haven't seen them posted. It's on 28 south toward Highlands (south of Franklin).
Hmmm....although Bald River Falls is a bit nicer:rolleyes: in my opinion!
No falls along the Dragon...unless I'm blind???

I was a little annoyed by that as well, until Nal_SV told me who they were, and what they do. After finding out they were the Patriot Guard, and what their purpose was, I was fine with them going through like that.
Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement
The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors. We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

Yes...that's the one....28 south into Highlands, NC...it's called Bridal Veil Falls. We took pictures down there. Not along the Dragon...so they will probably show up in the other Rally Photo thread!
Maviryk 06-08-2009, 12:11 PM Here's are some random ones I took at Bridal Veil.
