Snooty Booze Tuesday...nal_sv 05-24-2009, 05:07 PM Who is bringing what? I am still trying to find something interesting. Dan _______ scottyb0119 05-24-2009, 05:24 PM eh im not big on snooty booze, so when is beer night again? ;D Ranger 05-24-2009, 05:27 PM Lazy Mutt or Capital (if Nate doesn't drink it all first) Liutas 05-24-2009, 05:54 PM Lazy Mutt or Capital (if Nate doesn't drink it all first) Isn't that beer? I believe we are having a separate night for beer and for liquor. Don't want to mix, you know. I will most likely have a bottle of Gelnmorangie "The Lasanta". And maybe a bottle of Macallan. Trambo 05-24-2009, 06:18 PM Bringing German booze. Bottle of Asbach Uralt brandy, and Apfelkorn apple schnapps. (Trust me, the Apfelkorn will be a smash hit. :)) Nudist 05-24-2009, 08:17 PM Lazy Mutt or Capital (if Nate doesn't drink it all first) Dont worry about me suzukichic01 05-24-2009, 08:38 PM someone say apfelkorn? I love that stuff. Can only get it here at the Class 6 on base. I may bring a bottle as well. Along with my favorite liquor (JD) Trambo 05-24-2009, 08:48 PM someone say apfelkorn? I love that stuff. Wasn't until a few years ago, you couldn't even get it stateside. When I was in Germany, we always kept a bottle in the freezer. Great stuff. Yeah - bring more, you KNOW how popular it's going to be. suzukichic01 05-24-2009, 09:11 PM  Wasn't until a few years ago, you couldn't even get it stateside. When I was in Germany, we always kept a bottle in the freezer. Great stuff. Yeah - bring more, you KNOW how popular it's going to be. uh yeah! if it's anything like the games we play with it (sip it, pass it) then it will go quickly. I think they're only $7 a bottle at the class 6. I do miss the sour apfelkorn.. that stuff was WAY better. Only place i can get that is when I pass through Ramstein on my way to/from deployment. Trambo 05-24-2009, 09:14 PM LOL. I was at Ramstein. 90-91. God I miss it. suzukichic01 05-24-2009, 09:18 PM I'm an Army brat, grew up in Germany during the 80's. Loved it. I pass through now only on occasion. I get the feeling there will be quite a few good "parties" to attend this year at the Rally. Cheers guys! I'll be at the campgrounds. snatfinder 05-27-2009, 11:06 AM We'll have the riptide flowing for the non-snooties. No SpeedisaVirus allowed!!! cfreger 05-28-2009, 01:17 PM I'm planning on bringing a bottle of Barbancourt Rhum for the tasting. The dark stuff; prolly the 8-year-old (although I might bring the 15-year stuff). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhum_Barbancourt Anyone bringing any Bourbon? I'd like to try something unique in an American whiskey. (None of that Jack Daniels stuff.) So, where is this going to take place? cfreger 05-28-2009, 01:19 PM I get the feeling there will be quite a few good "parties" to attend this year at the Rally. Cheers guys! I'll be at the campgrounds. The cool kids hang at the Trout Pond. (You're invited.) ;) Liutas 05-28-2009, 01:33 PM Anyone bringing any Bourbon? I'd like to try something unique in an American whiskey. (None of that Jack Daniels stuff.) So, where is this going to take place? I've heard (from single malt scotch drinkers) that Woodford Reserve is pretty good, but haven't tried it yet myself. We will be hosting at our cabin. Across from the grill is all I can tell you at this point. SpeedisaVirus 05-28-2009, 09:09 PM We'll have the riptide flowing for the non-snooties. Trouble is coming ;D Woody106 05-29-2009, 07:30 AM Anyways, I got Tiquila: Cabo Wabo and Dos Lunas. ;D Patron FTMFW snatfinder 05-29-2009, 07:42 AM Patron is for amateurs Woody106 05-29-2009, 08:01 AM Patron is for amateurs you can go eat the worm then! lol Liutas 05-29-2009, 09:29 AM I don't appreciate you attacking me as an individual, Speed. tsk tsk. You'd think he'd learn by now :nono: :evil6: you can go eat the worm then! lol Patron doesn't have a worm. Amateur. :p Zach 05-29-2009, 09:33 AM Patron doesn't have a worm. Amateur. :p No Ta-Kill-Ya does, for that matter ;) Good thing I won't be there till late, I may be forced to pick up some knob creek Liutas 05-29-2009, 09:39 AM No Ta-Kill-Ya does, for that matter ;) Precisely. JPL_SV 05-29-2009, 02:58 PM Patron FTMFW At the liquor store Patron is just below the top shelf (where the Cabo and Dos is). :p Cabo is a little more smooth than Patron and a better buz IMO. Dos Lunas is just some top shelf tiquila the "expert"/clerk talked me into buying. Zach 05-29-2009, 03:01 PM 90% of tequila sales are based on hype and marketing. just sayin. intel_killer 05-29-2009, 03:02 PM No Ta-Kill-Ya does, for that matter ;) Good thing I won't be there till late, I may be forced to pick up some knob creek I got that in a sampler good sh!t. I will be in late, but I will bring some 12/18yr single malt of some variant and some Makers Mark to tide me over. I hope so Liutas 05-29-2009, 06:04 PM Will Crown qualify for snooty booze. I hope so Maybe just barely if we relax the standards a bit. JPL_SV 05-29-2009, 06:09 PM 90% of tequila sales are based on hype and marketing. just sayin. 60% of the time statistics are wrong every time. ;) Trambo 05-29-2009, 06:15 PM Will Crown qualify for snooty booze. I hope so Hmmm... Crown Special Reserve... aged 10 years?? Zuki 05-29-2009, 08:19 PM I hope so cause the booze are gonna cost more than the cabin ;) I got the case of Canadian for beer wednesday! Woody106 05-29-2009, 09:17 PM You'd think he'd learn by now :nono: :evil6: Patron doesn't have a worm. Amateur. :p No , really? It was sarcasm. Most people think that mezcal (sometimes with a worm) is tequila, b/c it is also distilled from blue agave. Technically Mezcal was produced before tequila was, so you say that tequila is actually a form of mezcal. Ok all of this talk of tequila has made me want some. orangegilly 05-29-2009, 09:22 PM Did somebody say Cabo? Trambo 05-29-2009, 09:23 PM *&^%$ Now I'm drunk. JPL_SV 05-29-2009, 09:26 PM http://liquorama.biz/images/Cabo%20Wabo%20Silver.jpg http://www.tequila.net/images/stories/jreviews/tn/tn_192_dos_lunas_silver_tequila_1172210601.jpg I will be bringing this, but it'll most likely be on monday. MagpieTear 05-30-2009, 06:51 AM The bottle of Dos Lunas looks more like a shampoo bottle than liquor. ;D Liutas 05-30-2009, 06:52 AM The bottle of Dos Lunas looks more like a shampoo bottle than liquor. ;D Hey, don't go giving away my plan for sneaking booze on the plane. :nono: Trambo 05-30-2009, 06:56 AM Hey, don't go giving away my plan for sneaking booze on the plane. :nono: LOL "Excuse me, sir? Why are drinking that bottle of White Rain?" MagpieTear 05-30-2009, 07:09 AM Hey, don't go giving away my plan for sneaking booze on the plane. :nono:Well, there's always the vodka injected oranges when all else fails. | |
