Who's going?
Watching, racing (firestick? htm707?), what ever?

I'm going to be marshalling the race on Sunday, hopefully it's better than last year and I get to keep the red flag in the bag.

I was there yesterday (Saturday), I had a blast, first bike race for me. Unfortunately I had to leave early and wasn't able to make it today, but it was also a fun 6 hour ride both ways. I have only a few pics, i'll post them shortly.

I was shocked at how well it went and how clean the races were.

Only 1 red flag on Sunday (in the SV Cup) which probably shouldn't have been called, in comparison to last year that left 5(?) riders in intesive care!

Over all a good weekend, although i was hoping that Szoke wouldn't win, and wierd that the CBR 125 challenge had the best battle for the lead (when will Nickerson be old enough to ride a big bike? I think this is a step down from the 125gp)

We you marshalling, or just taking in the races?

I was there with a buddy from work. We saw CanaDan and his Buell buddy.

I went to high school with this guy (Terry Steeves):

Apparently he blew up the engine in his main bike in early morning practice, so he had to use his "spare" ZX-10R with its stock engine.

I was marshalling, if you have a wide shot of the bowl I should be in it, I was doing coms on 17, on the hill, doing the monkey dance (flag salute) on the cooldown lap.

Good to see you stuck around for the SV cup race, everyone leaves right after the Superbike race. You got to see Busby having a bit of fun on his victory lap, he's the reason that I don't believe the "wheelie = blown engine" he will do almost the entire track at shannonville on the rear wheel. (I think the track said "NO BURNOUTS" because Crevier, Busby and a couple other guys only laid a strip of rubber by locking their rear going into 17)

You've also posted a couple pics of guys on the forum, I think I've seen 108 and 189 post on here before, as well as 707 but he was in Am 600 (and did pretty good, had a good battle with Rahul, I expect him to hit the podium next year, pro the following?)

That shot was a group of 4 riders in the SV650 event... I heard they were all running on their stock D220's:

LOL, no.

The entire CDN superbike series is a 1 tire, Pirelli only, series.
SV Cup racers run Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa in the dry and Pirelli Dragon Rains.

SV Cup will have one compound available in both front and rear as well as SV Spec rain tires.

Front Supercorsa Pro 120/70-17 SC1
Rear Supercorsa Pro 160/60-17 SC2

And FYI 108 is on an SV as well, but I'm sure Rob would be quite flattered that you thought he was racing Pro 600's on your blog.

That was me being funny, considering how folks here slam the D220 so much.

Not sure how I mis-labelled that one... It's quite easy to recognize the bike is indeed an SV. I was having quite a time uploading the photos for that post (using Google Chrome). Had to go fiddling with the HTML code and moving stuff around to fix layout problems. Have to fix that.
